Previous roles include CEO of Verity Health System, overseeing a successful sale, and President/COO of Detroit Medical System, driving improved EBITDA, physician recruitment, capital deployment, and cost reduction. Bob Frank
Chief Medical Officer
Bob, a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon and healthcare executive with 25+ years of diverse experience, excels in clinical practice, hospital leadership, academic medicine, and health plan management. Recruited by Andrei Soran as Corporate Chief Medical Officer at Pipeline Health, he played a vital role in the financial turnaround of the seven-hospital multistate health system, guiding it through Chapter 7 bankruptcy in just 4 months. As Corporate CMO and EVP at Meridian Health Plan, overseeing the largest Medicaid plan in Michigan and Illinois, Bob managed 750,000 members and $3.5 billion in revenue. Additionally, he served as CEO and CMO of the Wayne State University Physician Group and held leadership roles in med-tech startups as founder and Chief Medical Officer.
